Season of Giving

So this is a quick second post after! I have been brainstorming what to give my friends this holiday season.  I have met a lot of fabulous people these past few months and I can’t help but want to give them a little something. However, because I recently graduated and am going to be heading on to grad school, money is definitely tight.  First off, I thought I’d give everyone a mix of some of my favorite, classic Christmas songs.  Some old, some new. A nice combination I think.  I was also going to give that along with some Christmas cookies (who can really deny that?), but then I found this recipe at myrecipes.com:

Ingredients

  • 1  cup  powdered milk
  • 1  cup  unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1  cup  granulated sugar
  • 1/2  teaspoon  salt
  • 1/2  cup  miniature chocolate chips
  • 1/2  cup  crushed peppermint candy
  • Yield: Makes 1 quart mix or 12 servings hot cocoa

It seems simple enough doesn’t it? And who can deny some peppermint hot chocolate during the holidays? Well, actually I do know a few so maybe they’ll get cookies as back-up. Or this chocolate hazelnut bark. I think I’ll be baking a lot sooner than I thought!
